  1. What is Shareware?

  3. Shareware is a means of distributing software on a "try before
  4. you buy" basis. This method of distribution offers many benefits
  5. over conventional retail distribution. It allows you to try
  6. software programs, clip art and fonts before you purchase them.
  7. This allows you to determine if the shareware product you are
  8. trying meets your needs and will work with your computer
  9. equipment. After you have tried the product for a specified
  10. trial period, you are required to either purchase the product or
  11. delete it from your system. The shareware concept relies on the
  12. basic honesty of the user (or "potential buyer"). Remember that
  13. many shareware authors and developers are people like you, and
  14. rely on the income derived from shareware payments to continue
  15. creating software products that make your (computer) life more
  16. productive and fun.

  21. Broadstreet is a heavy display face named after Philadelphia's
  22. "Avenue of the Arts"--Broad Street. It is a good substitute for
  23. fonts like Compacta or Helvetica Inserat. Hf Broadstreet works
  24. well in sizes at or above 18 points. Like all other products
  25. from Handcraftedfonts, this font is well drawn and suitable for
  26. professional use.

  28. The SHAREWARE VERSION of this face (denoted with an "Sw" after
  29. the font name) includes all standard characters on a
  30. computer/typewriter keyboard (including shifted characters). The
  31. COMMERCIAL VERSION includes an international character set,
  32. hand-checked kerning, matching Art Deco ornaments, unique
  33. ligatures and alternate characters. Users of the Shareware
  34. version may upgrade to the Commercial version at any time.
